Welcome to The Penthouse, a lovely apartment located above the Cove Bar and Restaurant and opposite Maenporth Beach. It's the perfect choice of holiday accommodation for either a large family, or an extended one. Literally, a few minutes from the beach, and a 10-minute drive to the bustling town of Falmouth where you'll find something of interest for everyone in your party. It's decorated throughout in neutral shades which reflects the light and makes the property feel spacious, even when there are eight people milling around, each looking for breakfast!
The Penthouse and Cove 1 share an entrance hall, so from here, you'll pop up the stairs and into the apartment. You'll find a spacious living area with French doors leading onto the large patio, and outstanding views of the beach almost outside the window. There are three cream sofas and a matching armchair, positioned to face either the TV or the view! Tasteful soft furnishings and original pieces of artwork and ceramics really add to the feel of luxury. The dining area has its own space where there is plenty of room to spread out over a long, family supper. There's a sideboard here for placemats and crockery which makes laying the table quick and easy. The well-equipped galley kitchen is a mix of glossy white kitchen units and chrome accessories. Throw the patio door open in the morning and prepare breakfast to the sound of the waves breaking on the shore.
The patio runs the length of the Cove Restaurant and had a large dining table and chairs. You'll also find a parasol in the cupboard at the top of the stairs. It's a perfect space for lingering over family breakfasts, or even for relaxing for the afternoon with a good book and a glass of something chilled.
And for bookings of one week or more, we'll have a welcome pack ready for your arrival - a bottle of locally made Helford River Creek fruit juice, Cornish filter coffee, Smugglers tea, Cornish biscuits, a few sugar sachets and a pint of milk.
You'll have full use of the leisure facilities, free of charge. There is a returnable £100 deposit against damages on this property, and one designated car parking space.
PLEASE NOTE: The leisure centre and all its facilities will be closed from Monday 5th November to Monday 10th December 2018 for annual maintenance.

The Maenporth Estate is just two miles from Falmouth and overlooks the beautiful Maenporth Beach. It’s a private complex with a coded entrance gate, making it safe and secure for all guests.
Set in 29 acres of natural woodland, with stunning views of the cove, it’s a perfect base for family holidays. You'll find two all-weather tennis courts, a children's play area, and, of course, the Leisure Centre where we have our indoor, heated pool, sauna and Jacuzzi. There are pool and table tennis tables - all free of charge.
The famous award-winning Cove Restaurant is on site, or if you'd prefer something simple, try the Life's a Beach Cafe - you guessed it, on Maenporth beach, for fresh crab sandwiches or a Cornish clotted cream ice-cream. Two miles along the coast and you'll come across Helford Passage and the wonderful Ferryboat Inn which specialises in serving local seafood dishes. From here you can catch the foot ferry across to Helford Village, or hire a rowing boat or paddle board for the afternoon.
Maenporth’s a sheltered cove with shallow waters, making it perfect for all kinds of family beach activities: the little ones will love paddling, splashing daddy, and clambering through rock pools. There’s plenty of sand and piles of pebbles for sand castle building, and beautiful clear water for swimming.
Arvor Sea Kayaking offer guided kayaking trips throughout the year, and Cornwall Divers will take you on a scuba diving course from the beach! And, at low tide, you may spot the famous Scottish trawler, Ben Asdale, that was wrecked off the Maenporth coast on 30th December 1978.
