Land's End
(Less than a mile)

Travel to the tip of Cornwall and visit the famous Land’s End landmark. Take a photo with the iconic sign post, made famous by many celebrities journeying from end to end across the breadth of Great Britain. Have a cracking day out at ‘A grand experience’ attraction featuring the iconic characters, Wallace & Gromit, Morth and Shuan the Sheep or immerse yourself into a 4D sensory film experience. For the wildlife lovers amongst you, make sure to bring your binoculars to spot wildlife including Cornish choughs, Kittiwakes and if you’re lucky even grey seals, basking sharks and dolphins in the water below the high cliffs. There is plenty of facilities on site including a restaurant and café serving food all day.

Rather a disappointment. Very commercial.

April 2022

I have been visiting Land's End since 1969 - the area has been truly spoiled now it has the attractions. It used to be so peaceful with beautiful, natural surroundings - just as nature intended. The attractions have now completely ruined the area which is most disappointing. We have started visiting during the evening time only, when the attractions are closed, to try and see Land's End during it's 'quiet time'. Unfortunately, I doubt we will be visiting again - our family visited in a total of 3 cars and we were charged £6 each to park for one hour!!!!! Woulldn't mind if the car park was in good condition but it's a wreck!!!!

No visit to Cornwall is complete without experiencing the magical Isles of Scilly. Lying just 28 miles off the Cornish coast, these sand-fringed islands bask in a warmer climate than anywhere else in the UK. Sail along Cornwall’s rugged coastline on Scillonian III from Penzance, or fly Skybus from Land’s End and you will be on the islands in good time for lunch. Spend the day discovering secluded beaches, walk or cycle miles of trails and paths, or island-hop between the five off-islands. Find out why Scilly is famous for enticing its visitors to return again and again.

PK Porthcurno / Museum of Global Communications
(3 miles)

Porthcurno was where the first international telegraph cable was brought ashore 150 years ago, and this fascinating museum charts the stratospheric advances in global communications since that time.  Once a WW2 underground telegraph station, there are exhibits to enchant all ages plus a cafe and shop.

Visited here to watch Seth Lakeman twice over his 4 concert weekend. We had a fantastic time - both concerts were excellent made all the more amazing by the Minack Theatre and it's beautiful surroundings. The Minack is a fantastic venue for music events, we have been to quite a few concerts there and always had a good time. The Minack staff are so friendly and helpful and nothing is too much trouble. Parking is excellent, again with very friendly helpful staff. Furthermore, the gardens at the Minack are stunning and are well worth a visit.
